how to clean marble in the bathroom

Discover marble cleaning tips

Cleaning marble appears time consuming and difficult, but it's actually rather simple. All you need are mild dish soap, water, a heavy duty scrub sponge, and an absorbent vanity cloth. Because marble is softer than granite, it stains and wears more easily, and can't be treated the same way. To safely clean your marble in the bathroom or kitchen, follow the steps below.

    Mild Dish Soap

    Water

    Scotch-Brite® Tough Clean Scrub Sponge

    Scotch-Brite® Sponge Cloth

    Instructions

    Step 1

Apply mild dish soap to an already wet Scotch-Brite® Tough Clean Scrub Sponge.

    Step 2

Wipe your marble gently in a circular motion with the soft side of the sponge.

    Step 3

Most importantly, remember that air drying your marble surface will damage it. Hand dry it instead with this Scotch-Brite® Sponge Cloth.

By performing regular marble maintenance, you can protect your beautiful investment and avoid costly repairs or replacements. You can further protect and clean your marble by using coasters under drinks and cleaning stains as soon as possible, as acidic substances will corrode and leave discolored spots.
